OECD: CAREER GUIDANCE AND EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT
The OECD has recently published a working paper that examines features of good career guidance practice in assisting young people to make informed career choices. It highlights the essential role and importance of employers in helping the career learning of young people – learning about occupations, the world of work, and the labour market.
The paper addresses the following themes:
-transition from school to work
-the rationale for the provision by government of career guidance to young people
-designing effective career guidance services
-why and how to engage employers in career guidance.
