Lifelong Guidance Policy Development: a European Resource Kit

This Resource Kit, produced by the European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network, is designed to help policy-makers and other stakeholders to review existing lifelong guidance provision within their country or region, and to identify issues requiring attention and gaps that need to be filled, drawing from practices in other European countries.

It includes 3 EU Common Reference Tools for Lifelong Guidance developed by the European Commission’s Expert Group on Lifelong Guidance and 4 chapters dedicated to the themes of the EU Council of Ministers Resolution on lifelong guidance (2008). These are:

  • Career management skills (CMS)
  • Access of citizens to services
  • Co-operation and co-ordination mechanisms in guidance policy and systems development
  • Quality assurance and evidence base for policy and systems development.
