This is a practical example of the development of a career studies module for tertiary education students, produced by Pat McCash and published by the Centre for Career Management Skills at the University of Reading, UK. It provides an outline of a module that includes: career and learning, career and labour market intelligence, and career management styles.
The aims, assessable student learning outcomes, methodology, required resources, and evidence needed to show achievement of the learning outcomes is provided for each workshop.
While this publication is directed to tertiary education settings, the basic approach and concepts therein can be adapted to many other settings. This is highly recommended viewing.
