COMMUNIQUE FROM THE 8TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC POLICY
Dear Readers
Most of you did not have the opportunity to attend the International Symposium in Seoul, Korea, in June 2017.
Just to recall the theme and subthemes:
Theme: Career Development: At the Crossroads of Relevance and Impact
Subtheme 1: Understanding How Work Opportunities are Changing
Subtheme 2: Ensuring that the Content and Delivery of Career Development Programs are Changing
Subtheme 3: Improving Career Practitioner Training and Practice
Subtheme 4: Reforming Career Services in Education and Labour to Focus on Career Competencies and Successful Transitions
It is impossible to do justice here to all of the input (the papers of 21 country teams and three international organisations -OECD, ETF, CEDEFOP, international labour market expert presentations, deliberations of the participants). These can be found on the Symposium website www.ICCDPP2017.org
But here is the link to the output, the 2017 Symposium Communique, which distills all the knowledge, experience and wisdom of those involved.
It advances our thinking about key issues relevant to policy makers, policy developers, national delivery services, practitioners, and researchers.
